Meet my little Kullen

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

So….. I’ve mentioned before that I’ve already decided to redesign most of my house. Well that’s mostly due to the fact that I was soooo beyond ready to get the house finished and get moved in as quick as possible, therefore neglecting any real thought as to how I wanted to decorate in order to give this house a “homey” feel. Another huge incentive was that my little Kullen was only 4 months old and needed to be settled into a nursery. I guess you could also conclude that the reason I thought it would be a great idea to paint a couple of Kullen’s walls a bright green at the time was due to my “pregnancy brain”, which is why I’ve decided that his room would be one of the firsts to get an upgrade. I know they say that bright colors are good for a baby’s development but I think it’s safe to say he’s beyond that stage now. After all, he’ll be 3 yrs this August! So here he is….my favorite little 2 yr old.

He loves to help mommy work! He’s getting some practice with his tools here 🙂
Ok….back to the redesigning. I’ve already made huge progress on his room, but I’m holding out for the final product before I show you guys the before and afters. ( I know right, the suspense….) But I will give you some pics of projects I finished for his room in the meantime. One project I did just finish is an old dresser I redid for him. I’m really excited about how cute it turned out. So for all you guys who love before and afters {like myself :)} here you go….
Before

After

For all you Annie Sloan Chalk Paint lovers, I painted it in Louis Blue. Of course I love the distressed look because it gives it that rustic, country feel which is what I would love to incorporate into my home. It’s definitely a work in progress….lots more to come!

The Creative Mind

I’m soooo excited that I’ve finally “bit the bullet” and decided to give this blogging thing a shot! The thought of having a destination where I can collect my thoughts, ideas, DIY endeavors, redesigns and inspirations and share them with others was just too tempting to pass up! It will definitely be a new experience so readers will have to be patient with me!
